Chapter 1: Introduction to Women's Health and Fitness

Focusing on women’s health and fitness will continue to be an important part of the exercise and health science. It is necessary for the Fitness Professional to continue learning better ways to improve training strategies that focus on the different physiologic needs of women throughout their lifespan.

Chapter 2: Physiological and Anatomical Considerations for Women

Designing the most effective training programs for all female clients will require the Health and Fitness Professional to have a general understanding of women’s structure and physiologic functions during the different life phases.

Chapter 3: Psychological Considerations for Women in Fitness

Health and Fitness Professionals have personalities and traits that are as varied as any client base, and learning how to set aside any biases and being open to working with all types of clients will help build a successful business. The training experience is very physical. However, the psychological aspects of training may have a bigger impact on success and long-term adherence.

Chapter 4: Fitness Assessments for Women
